Choosing a school is a big decision. These FAQs offer clarity around our programs, routines, and expectations so you can feel confident as you learn more about Koraes.

  • Currently we have 190 students with a 17:1 student-faculty ratio.

  • All Orthodox Christian students may apply! We have students from varying traditions; you do not need to be Greek!

  • Each morning, students pray together as one school. Religion is taught weekly or daily based on grade level with varying complexity, and regular prayer services and liturgies are attended.

  • Koraes uses differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Daily Greek language instruction is based on their current knowledge, and after-school opportunities to strengthen that understanding are also available.

  • While breakfast is not available at this time, we do have a robust, daily hot lunch program with nutritious, made-from-scratch meals that the children love! Flexible ordering options make Hot Lunch a family favorite.

  • School visits are tailored and unique experiences. We aim to have families meet teachers and students, and observe what it’s like as a Koraes student through a walking tour. Leadership will answer your questions, give you an overview of the school, and help you learn how to get started.

  • We do not offer transportation at this time.

  • 8:30am - 3:15pm

  • Koraes Before-Care begins at 7:30am, and After-Care begins after school and ends at 4:30pm. There are also after school clubs and athletics students can join, which typically end between 4:30pm and 5:00pm.

  • We have a competitive athletic department offering fall, winter and spring sports, as well as fall and spring clubs. Our standard clubs typically include: Lego Club, Greek Dance, Bible Club, Student Council, and Band.

  • Koraes works closely with District 118 to create service plans for eligible students whose needs can be met with the resources Koraes provides.

  • A variety of assessment tools, including both formative and summative, are used at Koraes. MAP testing is administered at three points throughout the school year to provide benchmark assessments.

  • Yes. Certain grades fill quickly and space accommodations limit how many classes and students we can accommodate.  If a family is placed on a waiting list, they will be notified directly of their next steps to admission.
