Dear Students, Parents, and Members of Our Beloved School Community,

It is with great joy and heartfelt gratitude that I welcome you to a new academic year at Koraes Elementary School. As the Head of School, I am deeply honored to serve a community that is rooted in faith, enriched by Hellenic heritage, and dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in education. Each new school year brings fresh opportunities to grow - in wisdom, in compassion, and in the image and likeness of God.

Our mission is more than the transmission of knowledge; it is the formation of the whole person. Guided by the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and inspired by the life of the Orthodox Church, we strive to cultivate in our students both a love of learning and a life of virtue. Through prayer, worship, and service, we seek to help each child discover his or her unique gifts and to use them for the glory of God and the good of others.

At Koraes Elementary School, faith and academics walk hand in hand. Our dedicated faculty and staff work tirelessly to create an environment where intellectual curiosity, moral integrity, and spiritual growth are inseparable. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in church, our students are encouraged to think critically, act kindly, and live faithfully. We take great pride in our strong academic foundation and in the way our curriculum reflects both timeless Orthodox values and the best of modern educational practice.

Our Greek Orthodox tradition also calls us to cherish and celebrate our Hellenic heritage. The language, history, and culture of Greece offer our students a deep connection to the roots of our faith and civilization. Through the study of Greek, participation in cultural events, and celebration of feast days, we ensure that our young people appreciate the beauty and wisdom of their inheritance and understand their place within the wider Orthodox world.

To our parents, I extend my heartfelt thanks for entrusting your children to our care. Your partnership is essential to our mission. Together, we form a community of faith and love — one that supports, challenges, and uplifts every child. I invite you to be active participants in school life, to join us in worship, and to share your talents in ways that enrich our collective journey.

To our students, I say that you are the heart of this school. May this year be filled with discovery, friendship, and faith. Remember always that God’s love surrounds you and that your teachers, priests, and families are here to guide you toward all that is true and good.

May our Lord bless this school year with wisdom, peace, and joy. Let us walk together in faith and in love, strengthened by the words of our Savior: “Let the children come to Me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 19:14)
