Coronavirus
We are on eLearning days for March 16 - 24 and March 30. Watch for developments as the week unfolds.
Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Koraes Elementary is actively monitoring news and information about the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our region.
Please check this page regularly for updates.
March 13, 2020 @ 4:25pm
Dear Families,
School will be closed and e-Learning Days will be instituted beginning on Monday, March 16 - March 24.
March 25-27 ARE NON-ATTENDANCE DAYS.
Parents will not be expected to assume the role of the teacher during an e-Learning day. Our plan will ensure that teachers will be available to assist students with their assignments during the hours of the regular school day. The assignments for e-Learning are designed to be purposeful and will allow students to be engaged while at home.
Teachers will be rolling out assignments each day beginning on Monday, March 16 at 8:45. Teachers will be available via email daily from 8:45 - 3:30 on days when we are e-learning.
Teachers will include due dates etc. Please follow the directions of each teacher. All teachers will have assignments for students to complete (Art, PE, Greek, all content classes).
Students will be required to log in and submit evidence of their learning experiences in order to receive attendance credit for the day, grades 3-8. Further, if students are unable to participate during the e-Learning day, accommodations will be made to assist them in making up the missed work.
If you have not picked up your child's books, etc. they are in the school office until 5:30 today and tomorrow items will be in the church lobby from 9-1:00.
This is a developing situation; if different guidance comes from the State or National level, we will update families.
Thank you for your support, may God be with us.
Mrs. Lind
